Cancellation Policy
Fláfjall terms and conditions: ONLINE: When you book a tour online, you will see a Booking confirmation page with Confirmation code, stating tour departure time and date as well as your name and number of participants. You write down Confirmation code, and that is all you need to show at check in. Booking confirmation page is also sent to you by email so you can print it out if you like. VALIDITY OF PRICES Prices are in Icelandic Krona (ISK) as shown on our web site. Prices and departures are guaranteed after full payment has been made. CHANGES All our trips and outdoor activities are weather and condition depended. Fláfjall reserve the right to change your itinerary or cancel your trip with your safety in mind. If we are forced to cancel your trip due to factors outside of our control before it starts you will receive at least 80% refund of fully prepaid trip. If we are forced to change your itinerary at some point during your trip you may or may not be partly refunded for your tour, this depends on what trip you are on and at what stages that trip is. This refund is never more than 50% since in most cases the majority of our operating costs have already been realized after your trip starts. CANCELLATION All cancellations of tours must go through our office by email to flafjall@gmail.com or SMS (Text message) to +354 866 2318, Fláfjall reserves the right to always keep 20% confirmation fee to cover costs. If clients cancel their tour more than 48 hours prior to departure, 80% refund will be given. If clients cancel their tour within 48 hours of departure no refund will be given. Note. We repay bigger part of the fee if the weather conditions are not allowing the trip, but we don't repay the fee if the client is late, or doesn't show up even if the weather is very bad, in case that we can do the trip. So, we recommend to stay in a hotel or guesthouse east of Skaftafell and west of the town Höfn. EQUIPMENT AND CLOTHING All clients must be wearing good shoes for walking in rough nature. otherwise dress according to weather conditions.. LIABILITY No responsibility is accepted for losses, expenses due to delays, closed roads or other services, accidents, sickness, weather, war, or other similar causes. Fláfjall does not assume responsibility for accidents or death that can be traced to the participant´s negligence, acts of third parties or exterior circumstances such as weather, natural occurrences, war or other similar causes.
